Dreamvibe ("we", "our", or "the Service") is operated by Jeremy Harvey. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our dream journaling application.

2. Information We Collect

• Email address (for authentication and communication)

• Profile picture (optional)

Dream Content

• Dream entries and descriptions you create
• Tags, moods, and metadata you assign
• AI-generated analyses and interpretations
• Generated images and videos

Usage Data

• Feature usage counts (analyses, generations)
• Subscription status
• Device and browser information (via Vercel Analytics)

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide the Service: Store your dreams, generate analyses and visualizations
• Improve the Service: Understand usage patterns and fix issues
• Process payments: Manage subscriptions through Stripe
• Communicate: Send important updates about your account
• Community features: Display shared content (only dreams you explicitly share)

4. Data Storage

Local Storage

Your dream entries are primarily stored locally on your device using IndexedDB. This means your dreams remain on your device and are accessible even offline. Local data is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly sync or share.

Cloud Storage

When you create an account or use paid features, some data is stored in our cloud infrastructure:

• Supabase: Account info, usage tracking, synced dreams, generated media
• Stripe: Payment and subscription information

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide functionality:

• OpenAI: Dream analysis (GPT-4) and image generation (DALL-E 3). Your dream content is sent to OpenAI for processing. See OpenAI's privacy policy.
• Replicate: Video generation (Luma Ray 2). Dream prompts are sent for processing. See Replicate's privacy policy.
• Supabase: Authentication, database, and file storage. See Supabase's privacy policy.
• Stripe: Payment processing. See Stripe's privacy policy.
• Vercel: Hosting and analytics. See Vercel's privacy policy.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data in these circumstances:

• With your consent: When you choose to share dreams to the community
• Service providers: Third-party services listed above, only as needed to provide functionality
• Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect rights and safety

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and secure authentication through Supabase. However, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

8. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: View all your dream data in the app
• Export: Download your data as JSON through Settings
• Delete: Delete individual dreams or your entire account
• Correction: Edit your dreams and profile information at any time

9. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Vercel Analytics collects anonymous usage data to help us understand how the Service is used. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us to have it removed.

11. Data Retention

Local data remains on your device until you delete it. Cloud data is retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

12. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US or other countries where our service providers operate.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
